Annals of Statistical Theory and Applications (ASTA) is the official journal of the Professional Statisticians Society of Nigeria, PSSN (formerly, Nigeria Statistical Society). The editorial board is comprised of Senior Professionals and practitioners in statistics across the globe with applied, computational, methodological and theoretical expertise. Their role is to ensure that the journal continues to provide an international forum for the discipline of Statistics.
The Annals of Statistical Theory and Applications is a biannual International Open-Access and double-blinded peer-reviewed International journal that publishes original research works in the theory and applications of statistics two times in a year. The first issue of ASTA in each year will appear in May while the second one will appear in November. Articles that contribute new research ideas in all areas of statistical science including social and economic applications, theoretical or computational papers that are related to probability or statistics are welcomed.
Papers are invited for submission to Annals of Statistical Theory and Applications (ASTA).
Broadly speaking, the journal accepts papers that address novel research issues in all theoretical areas of Statistics and their applications. Specifically, manuscripts that discuss novel ideas and methods in the following areas are welcomed:

In addition, papers that present applications of novel Statistical methods in all fields of research are equally welcomed. Some of these research fields include: Agriculture; Engineering and Technology; Humanities and Education; Physical and Biological Sciences; Social and Management Sciences; Health Sciences and Medicine, among others.
Articles will be evaluated anonymously by at least two experienced reviewers in the area of research study. The Editorial Board will make final decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of articles after review reports have been received, and at least a month after receipt of the manuscript.
Accepted papers will be electronically available on our web page as soon as they are ready for publication, and freely accessible to all. Such papers will subsequently appear in the paper version of the journal.
